Lenovo recalls batteries for ThinkPad

Lenovo recalls Laptop Batteries used in some models of line ThinkPad, including the ThinkPad R60, R61, T60, T61, X60 and X61.

According to the manufacturer, the reason for revocation was the inability to exchange the damaged cells.

At the Lenovo site a special program for the diagnosis of batteries, which can be downloaded to a PC to check whether the replacement of any battery.

Sources from the battery manufacturers have stated that the problem relates to the cells inside the battery and would not impact on Taiwanese manufacturers of batteries, because they do not produce defective cell to cell.
