
Yesterday, at a world conference for developers of Apple, Philip Schiller introduced an updated MacBook Pro notebook. New 15" laptops are now equipped with the same non-removable battery, as well as previous 17" Unibody MacBook Pro. The service life of new batteries, according to Schiller, is 1000 cycles of charge/discharge, which is equivalent to 5 years of use. Time of autonomous work of the new 15" MacBook Pro has increased to 7 hours. And the most important news - the starting price for the new MacBook Pro models now start at $1,699 instead of $1,999 in the previous releases.

$1,999: 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT, 320Gb HDD, a slot for SD cards
$2.299: 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT, 500Gb HDD, a slot for SD cards

New 17" Unibody MacBook Pro received faster processors with frequency up to 2.8GHz, 8GB of RAM and HD 500Gb. The price of this laptop is reduced to $2.499.
