Toshiba withdraws 1400 batteries for laptops

The company Toshiba in conjunction with the U.S. Commission on Security of consumer goods (CPSC) withdrew about 1400 defective batteries for notebooks, reports DailyTech. All faulty battery assembled in China, based on the production of batteries Sony.

CPSC recommends immediately halt to use of notebooks with the defective batteries from large probability of fire or explosion of the device and contact the manufacturer for free replacement. On information of CPSC, Toshiba already got three reports about batteries fire.
Defective batteries are equip the series of notebooks such as Satellite A100, Satellite A105 and Tecra A7. On the site CPSC the serial numbers of defective batteries are published.
More than 10 million elements of feed production of Sony were withdrawn. Defective batteries either fallen out before a guarantee term or overheated and caused the fire or even explosion of notebook. |
